DON’T MISS THIS!
I have to say that I am one of the luckiest pastor’s on the planet. Yesterday our staff had the privilege of spending all day together at a conference designed to encourage and instruct God’s chosen leaders in our churches. Just to be able to spend this time with our staff made the day a success for me, even before we left the church. As I sat with our great Team during the corporate worship times I was overwhelmed with emotions as I looked at each one of these special people.
During the final session Perry Noble talked about the strife and problems that exist between many Senior Pastors and their Staff members. I sat there praising God in my spirit because of the wonderful, loving relationships that we have. Thank God! I know He has something incredibly special for Washington Avenue because He has put together an amazing team of leaders. For any of our staff reading this blog, let me just say how blessed I am to serve alongside you. And, thank you for the wonderful expression of love and support you gave me in the session yesterday. I was speechless! (and you know that doesn’t happen often!)
Man, I can’t wait for Sunday to get here!!! After what God did on Wednesday night (13 youth saved; adults fully committing their lives to the Lordship of Jesus; WOW!), I really believe God is going to do something special.
Trust me, you do not want to miss this service. There will be something happening that I have never attempted before in a corporate worship service. It is so powerful that I truly believe every person who attends will be touched in some Divine manner. I know just watching it being prepared captured my heart, mind and soul! It also makes me realize how much I still have to learn about “Giving UP” everything for my Lord.
DON’T MISS SUNDAY — 9:00 AND 10:30!

Chuck,
I just want you to know how proud I am to call you my pastor, my boss, and my (hopefully) friend. You have helped teach me so much and pushed me to that next level. You are so amazing and I love to see the passion in your heart for people to come to know Christ. I would not trade you for anything in the world and I hope you know how much you truly are appreciated at WAC. And how grateful I am to you. I love you!
Chuck,
We love reading your blogs but we don’t often comment. This blog speaks volumes about the movement God is making in our church. We often see staff within our church and see them more as family instead of just simple bodies. Each peron on staff has made an impact in our lives because of their commitment to Christ. We recently heard Clayton King speak on passion. Having passion is being willing to suffer something for the cause of Christ. I can truly say that each one of our staff is willing to suffer for our God. Be sure you pass this along to each person on staff because we don’t get to voice like we want to! Thanks again for all you do and your love for Christ!
Love in Christ,
Corey and Carrie
