Blown Away
When we began talking about Easter back in January we knew that it would be a day when our attendance would be higher because that is the norm. When we decided to do something even more special to encourage our people to get their friends, family members, and any other people they could to come, we never imagined what God would do. We have 201 chairs set up in our worship center and in our second service today we had 271 people! It was amazing watching our many volunteer servants carrying in stacks of chairs trying to find places to put them.
The preliminary numbers I was told today added up to 544 total people on our campus! Our goal was 400. I just can’t express how blown away our people were to see all these people keep coming in. The greatest news though was the young mom who came forward and prayed to receive Christ as her Savior and Lord. That was an amazing experience to share. Many others came forward and wrote things on the cards that they want to sacrifice to the Lord and put them in our replicas of OT altars. We will burn them again this week!
It was an amazing worship experience. I really enjoyed sharing the message God gave me. The comments that some people shared with me after the service affirmed that this was exactly what God wanted me to share. The music was incredible but the hit of the day was the interpretive movement. I don’t think I have ever heard so many shouts coming from a congregation in my life. Sitting here at home one of our precious saints called me (82 years old) and said, “Pastor, I have been in hundreds of worship services in my life but none have ever moved me like the one we had today!” Praise God for honoring us with His awesome presence today.
We are not expecting a let-down next week. We expect to need more chairs in our
Worship Center next week as we celebrate what God has done in this first quarter of a New Year and a New Vision! Trust me, next week is going to be incredible again!!! Our Praise Choir will rock the house with a dynamic song that says our God is “Mighty to Save.” I can’t wait to see what God will do. I’ll see you there.
