Blessing Inventory
Highlights of the Day:
- Being led in worship by my daughter has to be an all-time high for me in ministry. Way to go Ashley.
- “Resident Aliens” were right on today. Joe, Andrew, Kyle — great job!! Thanks.
- Life-Transformation stories continue. I was told by 3 more people about some incredible things God is doing in their lives and in their families! Remember, we asked God back in January to Transform homes and He is doing it.
- I had so much fun sharing on the subject of money today. Understanding that God gives us His plans for managing His stuff so that we can experience what He wants FOR us (not FROM us) is liberating. This series is not about what the church or me or God wants from you. I can’t wait to see what kind of miracles we will see in people’s financial lives once God’s precepts are applied.
- I met a young couple this morning who had their tiny baby with them. The young lady said I went to high school with her dad (dang I’m old).
- There were 40 children in our Elevate program (K4 – 5th grade). I cruised through the children’s area after the service and saw the look of “exhausted Joy” on the faces of our great leaders. Patti and her crew are the best I’ve ever worked with. Thanks guys!
- We are blessed to have gifted people in so many critical areas. Please know that you are loved and appreciated by your Pastors, staff, and fellow Christ-Followers.
We have some things planned in this series that have the potential to make some major ‘waves’ in people’s lives. Our creative team has outdone themselves. Trust me, you do not want to miss the things we have planned for you in the coming weeks.
On April 20, my good friend and one of the most anointed preachers in America will be with us. Clayton King is back and he is loaded with God’s message concerning the financial lives of God’s people. If you know anything about Clayton and his preaching, you will want to make sure and invite all your family members and friends to come. I expect us to need extra chairs again on that day (BTW, I missed us needing to bring out chairs today. What’s up with that?) Let’s GO Washington Avenue! A hurting world needs us to be diligent about our Father’s business!
O Yeah! Did I mention we are having baptism next Sunday? We have 28 (or 29) waiting to be baptized. It’s going to be awesome!

Daddy,
I love you so much. The way the church (as a people) is blossiming and transforming blows my mind everytime we met together. Today, I remembered the time you sat me and mom down and told us that God had given you a new vision, and you didn’t know where it would take you.. You asked us to follow and pray. Since that day, I lift you up in prayer every morning, praying for the vision, our people, and the unsaved people around us. I will continue to pray and continue to expect God to do great things that no one has ever invisioned.
Your daughter,
Ashley
