Ramblings

Ok, so I got a little caught up in the Memorial Day holiday Monday and didn’t write anything on my blog. Then, yesterday was a hectic Mon-Tuesday. So, here I am seeking forgiveness from those of you who check here to see what’s going on. I said last week that I would do better and, so far, I haven’t.

Here are some quick things I want you to know:

  • I am so proud to be an American! Our productions team did an outstanding job this past Sunday. Way to go TEAM! You are a joy to work with!
  • The ministry of funerals is surprising. I officiated a graveside service yesterday for a war veteran. It was a quiet and moving experience to see all the graves with American Flags on them. The ceremony performed by the Army soldiers folding the flag was very moving. Did I mention how glad I am to be an American?
  • Christianity is not for Cowards! Jesus has called us and Saved us to be Soldiers in His Army. We are committed to training soldiers for the war and  not catering to those who just want to ride on the Cruise Ship Christianity.
  • There are so many more in our life-circles who need to experience the Joy, Peace, Hope, and Love of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t stop inviting people to our Main Event each Sunday.

NEW WORSHIP TIMES STARTING THIS SUNDAY: Our first worship service will start at 9:15am and the second service begins at 11:00am! We are pumped about making this change for many reasons. One, our worship personnel will get to sleep fifteen more minutes! Second, we are going to have our children’s program “Elevate” offered during both services. This will allow families with young children to attend the early service. That way, more seats will be available in our second service which is when we draw the majority of our visitors. It is a win-win situation. Finally, we are excited because we will have more time between the services to catch our breath and then spend time greeting and visiting with people between the services.

Mark it down on your calendar and put it on your refrigerator! Don’t Forget!

The Summer is here and I can promise you that we are not in any way slowing down. We have a powerful Sermon Series beginning this Sunday and let me tell you, July and August are going to be ‘over the top!’ We are planning for some amazing Sundays throughout the hot summer days so make sure and get here with your family and friends when you are in town.

God bless you and thanks for taking the time to read this blog.
