Tomorrow we venture into a realm where the church has seldom gone. We are participating with over 1,200 other local churches in a series called “One Prayer.” Jesus prayed in  John 17:20-23 for God to bring the same kind of Unity within His followers that He shared with His Father. Anyone who has been around the church knows this is not the reality where we now live.

I am expecting to Experience great things from God through this unprecedented effort to bring our Lord’s church together. My “One Prayer” to God for HIs church is “Make Us Relevant.” We have rapidly progressed into greater Irrelevance in our culture. I really believe our world would respond very positively to the church IF it was structured and operating the way Jesus taught us. While I have been in the church my entire life, leading my fellow Followers to be Relevant exceeds my abilities because I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen it happen.

I hope our church is filled tomorrow with people who are ready to escape the trap of normalcy to journey where only God can take us. I anticipate God’s Power to be so amazing tomorrow — the way Paul said we could not even imagine. SEE YOU THERE!
