Time to Wake UP!
I watched the One Prayer video by Ed Young, Jr. three times before watching it twice today in our worship services. Amazingly, each time I watch it God speaks a fresh Truth into my life. I would recommend everyone interested in the present status of the church and what can be done to get us back “on track” go here to listen.
Pastor Ed Young brings out some interesting thoughts on areas where we need to “Wake UP!” Some of them include:
* Waking up to Knowing God. Until we have a personal relationship with God through Christ we will not” be Engaged in Kingdom business.
*Waking up to Sowing for God. Our lives are seeds that need to be sowed into the lives of others. If we are sleeping we will not be reaping. Also, people get funny when you talk about money. Some are asleep in their resources; some in time management; and some in serving God. We’ve got to “Wake UP” so God’s Kingdom will once again be a major force in our world.
*Waking up to Growing in God. When I get stagnant in my walk with God it is very easy to fall asleep. And, as Ed Young says, when you’re asleep you don’t realize you’re asleep. We don’t know we’re sleeping until we WAKE UP!
I am praying for myself to be AWAKE to the presence and power of God in my life. And, I am praying for our church to WAKE UP to the awesome privileges we have to change our world for Christ.
