Worship was truly “SPOT ON” yesterday! It goes to show once again how reliable the Scriptures are. We have so many references and examples of God’s presence among His people being heightened when PRAISE is enthusiastic and genuine. The Psalmist said: “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.” (Psalm 29:2) While we certainly don’t have to wait until Sunday to worship the Lord, when we do come together it should be something special.

The One Prayer message series has ended but I truly believe that the results of our participation with over 1,500 other churches has just begun. God has always wanted to see His Children working together to build His Kingdom here on earth. My prayer for the Church continues to be “God, Make us Relevant.” Our world needs the HOPE offered in a personal relationship with Jesus. They will only experience the dynamics of what this means when they witness the ways God is working in our lives. We will continue to follow Christ’s leading to plan and implement Spirit-Filled Worship encounters weekly so we can “let our light shine” brightly in this dark world.

This Friday, July 4th, we have a wonderful opportunity to Let Our Lights Shine as we host our 5th Annual Block Party. As always there will be games and inflatable rides for the children; cake walks; face painting; FREE FOOD; and live entertainment. And, once again we will have one of the best fire work shows around after dark. So, come on out and get ready to have a great time with your families and friends. And, let’s make sure to ENGAGE people with the AWESOME LOVE and HOPE that we have found in Jesus Christ!!! We are praying for people to be touched by God as we worship Him and celebrate His salvation with baptism. Yes, we are having baptism outside at the Block Party! COOL!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA! I pray that our nation will turn back to God, the One who gave us our Freedom!
