What a Blessing!
I am away from our church today as I had planned to be. It is critical for me to get away and pray, dream, get refreshed, etc. for the fall season that is comingĀ all too quickly. I had the opportunity to worship with a sister church in Charleston last night that is doing some tremendous things. The worship service was very inspirational and challenged me.
But, I have to tell you, after watching the Worship service at WAC online just now, my heart is filled with JOY and Enthusiasm for the way our young people brought the power and glory of God back from the Journey into the Worship center. I had a wonderful experience with the Lord just singing along, watching the powerful video as Corey sang about loving people like Jesus, and then being blown away by the skit our youth performed. Man, that is one powerful expression of what Jesus does for us.
Again, I say “Great Job” to all those who led in the worship service, and to all the Student Staff who gave it up this week to make this trip a huge success. I pray that our entire church could get “caught up” in the excitement and wonder of living in the Anointing of God’s presence and power. I am also praying for our Students to gain momentum and INCREASE in their fervency and passion to serve Christ. Too many times we get on a Spiritual HIGH and then, within a few days, we are right back to the place we were before the Mountain-Top experience. I am praying for the day when our Sunday Morning Main Events manifest the excitement and passion for worship that I witnessed today online. Even though I was not physically in the Worship Center, I felt God’s presence and was challenged to respond in my own life.
Imagine what could happen if adults started showing this same kind of enthusiasm in worship?! Imagine what could happen in our communities if everyone started Loving people like Jesus?! Could this possibly be the beginning of the “Movement” we have been praying for and believing God for?
God is Good All the time. His mercies are everlasting. He is too marvelous for mere words to describe. We are His People, the Sheep of His pasture. The Lord truly is OUR SHEPHERD! May the Name of the Lord be praised in every part of His church — when we gather in His house and wherever else we may be!
