A Time to Celebrate
Just wanted to share that we are having a special worship service tonight at Washington Avenue. At 7:00 we will assemble in the large Worship Center for a time of praise/worship, baptism, an anointed message from God’s Word, and Communion. Anyone who is reading this blog is invited to come and participate as we celebrate the great things God has been doing in our church.
I always get pumped when we have baptism. It has been a while since we had the opportunity to celebrate this vivid reminder of why we exist. The church is God’s representative in this world to reach out in love to the masses of people who do not know Christ. Each time we baptize someone it is another reminder that God is still speaking to people’s hearts about their need for a Savior.
To share in the worship of Communion in the same worship service is a special treat. I look forward to the “surprise” God always seems to bring in my life when I take communion. To share in this intimate expression of our love for the ONE who gave His life for us with other Believers is a wonderful blessing. I look forward to this time of worship tonight.
I pray that God’s Church would be strengthened for these days of trials and persecutions that will increase as we watch unbelievers take control of the U.S.A. Our power to thrive in times of turmoil can be traced back to the Sacrifice we remember when coming to the Communion Table. I can’t wait to see what God will do on our campus tonight!!!
