So, the long-anticipated, talked-to-death election is over. I don’t mind telling you that the outcome was not what I had hoped for! I believe America as a nation has once again demonstrated how much more important their “money” is than the sanctity of human life; marriage; etc.

But, that’s done! I am not surprised by the outcome of this election and I am not writing this post to complain or throw stones at the amoral leaders our nation elected. Instead, I am utilizing this space to encourage, incite, and instruct Christ-Followers to “SEIZE” the opportunity that has been dropped in our laps. In these coming days, we are going to experience even greater times of adversity and uncertainty as a nation. I know of NO better time for Christ-Followers to be there to stand in the gap for our lost, fellow Americans.

This week we begin a New Series of messages based on Bill Hybel’s study called: “Just Walk Across the Room.” The simple premise for this study is how many opportunities God gives His Followers to “WALK” towards someone who is without hope. The only way to bring people far from God close to God is to take the initiative to WALK towards them! These opportunities present themselves every day, in various situation. The opportunity to help someone find Christ awaits the Believer who decides to take the first step when God’s Holy Spirit says: “That’s the One!” or “This is the Moment!”

In the 4 weeks of this series we are going to talk about how simple it can be to show someone the Love of Christ. Not everyone can recite Scripture or explain the deep truths of Christianity. But, everyone can walk across a room to say “Hello” or to offer practical assistance or a friendly gesture. When Christians are REAL and genuine, the walls of resistance fall down and the door is open for someone who desperately needs God to experience how much He loves them!
