Just a quick reminder and encouragement to all who read this post and who are a part of Washington Avenue Church. Tomorrow is a big day for our church family. In the Main Events (am services) we are talking about Jesus’ Advent to this earth giving us the STRENGTH we need to cope in this uncertain world of ours. Don’t miss it! We are going to literally pump some iron on stage tomorrow.

Tomorrow afternoon is a very important time for our church family. We are having our first annual end-of-year meeting to talk about our church’s future. God has blessed Washington Avenue Church through the years and many faithful people have hung on through some difficult times, believing that God still wants to build His Kingdom through these ministries. We will be sharing our budget for next year; hear about some exciting Mission projects that everyone can get involved in; and be challenged by God’s Spirit to DO OUR PART to make the ministries of Washington Avenue Church be everything they can be in 2009.

O  yeah, I almost forgot to mention that it is a “Potluck” supper. We are asking everyone in attendance to bring a meal with dessert and put it together for everyone to share. It is going to be FUN to share this meal with our church family. The church is providing beverages, plates, napkins, cups and eating utensils. I am looking forward to this time together! I hope our people will make a special effort to be here.
