About Chuck
Hello, my name is Chuck Bridges and I live in Easley, SC with my wonderful family. I have been blessed beyond my childhood dreams of what my life would be like. God changed my life in October, 1982. After surrendering my life to Him, I have never looked back. Jesus Christ is the number one passion of my life! Second, I love to spend time with my family. My wife and two children are the light of my life. After them, I have the most wonderful parents who live very close to me. We share a lot of quality time together. I also have 3 brothers and a sister who all have families of their own. We are a very blessed family.
Besides serving God by teaching/preaching His Word (i.e. the Bible), I love anything connected with the outdoors. Recently I have done a little bit of hiking in the mountains — I think this is going to be a regular activity for me! I love to fish, hunt (deer), plant a garden, etc. I also love to watch College Football and Basketball on television. And, I love to travel. I have had the privilege of being in 7 different countries in this great world. I can’t wait to see more of this amazing planet God has Created!
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read about me. I am humbled that you (or anyone else) would take the time to read what I write. I hope my thoughts shared on this blog will bring some encouragement, wisdom, inspiration, and hope into your life. Please comment when you can to let me know how you feel about issues raised in this blog. May God bless you!

Hey Pastor Chuck,
Its been a while since I have said hey to you. I am doing good here at Ft. Knox. I am doing school and work and boy is that tough, but it is working out good. I was just thinking that I should create a blog too. I though I would drop in and say hey before I had to go to class. Keep in touch.
Hello! I’m not sure what you prefer to be called such as pastor, brother, preacher.Anyway I know the church is all about try to get people to know GOD! Today I received some bad news about a family member. She had been diagnosed to having cancer starting in throat and has spread a great deal. I have heard she has expressed her feelings of being scared to die because she may go to hell. This has bothered me a great deal and I’m not sure how to address this issue to her.But I do know she needs help. I dont know who else to turn to for advise on this concern since I am fairly new to following Christ myself.I would feel guilty if something would happen to her before she had the chance to give her heart to the lord. So please HELP!!!
I found it interesting when looking for my name I found you. I am recently studying Couples praying together. Figured I would say Hi.
Hi Chuck,
Once again you brought God’s word to us beautifully. It seems as though the past 3 months you have been my messenger from God to give me the energy and will to go on. My children and I appreciate all you do for the church and our family. We hope and pray daily for your strength in Christ. You prayed a Christmas prayer last week for God to bring my wife back home in time for Christmas. She came home and stayed for Christmas day then went back to her other life with him. Still it felt good to have her here for Christmas, the devil is wide open destroying homes and families. I pray daily for other families to not have to go through what I have been through. I still believe God is able to put my family back togeather and will not allow the devil the pleasure of keeping it apart. Proverbs 3 says Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy paths. I stand firm on that scripture. God Bless you and your family Chuck, you have been an inspiration to me through all these hard times.
Love your Brother in Christ

Hello Chuck,
I would like to say thank you for helping me take an inventory of myself. What I seen and felt I did’nt like.I took a deep look inside and I had to help fight the DEVIL off.I was in church this past sunday morning. As you may know I have’nt been to a Sunday service since Oct 2008.I did’nt know how far I had let myself slip back til you spoke on “an inventory of myself” I did just that and it helped.God Bless you and Please keep up your good work you do everyday.
We Love You & Appreciate You,

Hello Pastor,
I want to say that I love you and am proud to call you my pastor. I can’t help but notice God’s grace at work in you and through your ministry to Lisa, Nathan, Alex and myself at WAC. Based on what I’m seeing with our home group couples and in my own life this is a time of unprecedented re-acquaintance with the depth and fierceness of the love lavished upon us by our Father. This gospel of grace is as powerful as ever in the lives of those who believe him and in those who don’t yet believe. But revival starts with us as individuals, doesn’t it? I think maybe the downpour has begun. It is a matter of how long we are willing to stand out in it and get wet. If we remain for awhile we will become more convinced of His love for us. That part about “becoming more convinced” has been the real change in my life. And it came about, in large part, due to your preaching and teaching. Thank you for your obedience and sensitivity to His leading.
Now, because of God’s mercy and grace alone, sir, His work in you is seen to be authentic- you are the real deal. Doesn’t the Bible says that if we humble ourselves he will exalt us at the proper time. I write these things both because they are on my heart and because I feel our Lord wanted you to hear them. God does appreciate all the things you do for us in His name and I do as well. You’re the best because you are MY pastor.
